My Birth Story
By Alan Wu
“When I came back home, my sisters and grandma were waiting for me and waiting to shower me with love.”
Alan: My mother had prepared for my birth, and, it was really hard. She had to get tons of supplies like diapers and et cetera, and she had to go to the hospital to wait for my birth. My mother will start talking now about the process of her labor.
Mom: I remember… for Alan, I started the contractions around 5 to 6pm. I feel this starting the painful… and I’m counting them every five minutes, the contractions. So I called the hospital, the reception. They allowed me to go there and admitted to me, and you know my pains are so awful. I’m screaming in the hallway and I asked the doctor to give me the epidural. After the epidural, I feel much better and I started contraction to the pushing is take the five or six hours. I remember, for Alan, I pushing almost one hour, for Alan come out. When Alan come out, my gosh, Alan is a big boy! Is almost nine pounds, eight pound twelve-something. I forgot. Alan has a big poo-poo after he came out. That's it.
Alan: After that, my mom had to stay in the hospital and prepare for my trip back home. And my dad was there taking pictures of me, and when I came back home, my sisters and grandma were waiting for me and waiting to shower me with love.
